Former Italy coach Marcello Lippi reckons Serie A has now become a more balanced competition with multiple teams able to compete for the title.
Lippi's former club Juventus have started the new campaign brightly while three of Italy's strongest teams last season have not be able to match the Turin outfit so far.
Defending champions AC Milan and their city rivals Inter as well as Napoli have all found the going tough early on.
"Compared to other years where Inter used to be the strongest, now there is a balance," Lippi told La Repubblica.
"Milan are strong after winning the league last season and they have rediscovered enthusiasm.
